Protect your network from ransomware

Integrity IT’s team quickly responded to the news of the widespread ransomware attack called Wanna Cry.  Our priority was to make sure all servers and devices we monitor were secure from the prior patching and patch them if not.  Our technicians and engineers worked through the beautiful weekend to keep our clients safe, including equipment out of vendor support with Microsoft’s additional patch options.  Attacks are a daily part of life now, but with managed services, you have many layers or protection to easy your mind and keep your business running smoothly.

What is Ransomware?

Ransomware is a form of malware that targets your critical data and systems for the purpose of extortion. Ransomware is frequently delivered through spearphishing (targeted phishing instead of broad) emails. After the user has been locked out of the data or system, the cyber actor demands a ransom payment. After receiving payment, the cyber actor will purportedly provide an avenue to the victim to regain access to the system or data. Recent iterations target enterprise end users, making awareness and training a critical preventive measure.*
